June is Here!

With June officially being underway we are approaching the end of this EPIC Spring Summer Season. Even though we’ve seen a lot of growth throughout the season, there are still a few more weekends of business to take care of. I hope you and your athlete are up for the final push!

Upcoming tournaments

We have two remaining tournaments to cap off all our hard work

June 10th - 11th: Battle in the bay
-This is a 2-Day 3 game minimum 4BallersOnly event. It will have some of the highest competition we’ve played locally all year. I opted on the side of “playing up” to make sure we are plenty prepped to go down to SoCal and battle with the best of them!
-We are hoping this tournament will lock down Open Gym Premier as their main venue but if not it will be in other Oakland Gyms
June 16th - 18th: Aces - Coca cola nationals
-This is our final competitive tournament on a national stage. The culmination of the season!

Memorial Weekend…

last weekend a few of our select Black Club Teams participated in the G365 Memorial Day Challenge to see how they matched up against some of the bay area’s finest.

All in all, we came out of the tournament playing some of the highest-quality basketball we’ve seen all season, including a few ALL - TOURNAMENT SELECTIONS. CONGRATULATIONS TO…

At the end of the weekend, we went 12-3 as an academy with the 7th Grade Goers taking home some hardware!

“Splash Boys of the Month” were selected from our standardized shooting drills.

“Anti-Softness Players of the Month” Criteria:

Willing to sacrifice their body for the sake of the team's success
Welcoming contact and initiating contact to give our team an advantage or to produce a positive outcome (rebound, screen, etc)
Exerting max effort on the defensive end
Communicating on defense
