TrueLeague Newsletter 9/9-9/13
Week 2, here we come!
We had a fantastic week 1 of the season as we kicked off our first regular season week. There were some competitive games and still a lot for us to work on as a group, but I know all the players are ready to work hard! Overall, we will be giving out a Stay Hungry Player of the Week award for each division. This award will go to a player who throughout the entire week worked hard at both practices, was extremely coachable, and made an impact on the court when it came to games on Friday. That player will be displayed in this newsletter each week to celebrate their performances. I look forward to seeing who will be the Stay Hungry Player for the upcoming week! Please do not hesitate to reach out to Coach David with any questions what so ever! Stay Hungry!

Transformation
If you’re looking for a more personalized coaching experience in a 1-on-1 or small group environment, we highly recommend our Transformation program. This four-week program allows athletes to train once or twice a week depending on your schedule. We offer three different packages to best fit your athlete’s needs and you will be contacted by our staff after completing the interest form. You can learn more about the program here.
TrueLeague Level Up Sessions are back every Thursday from 4-5 PM. Come take advantage of the extra training time and get your athlete in the gym! We encourage all players to get some more training in to continue for them to grow and get an edge on players who arent training. Register below!
Increase Parent Hoop Understanding: Basketball 101
This a great clip from Duke Women’s Head Coach Kara Lawson about learning how to handle hard better. At the end of the day in all facets of life, people hope that things will eventually get easier when in reality you have to learn handle hard better. When it comes to basketball, there are gonna be a ton of games and moments in the season where things will get extremely hard. How they handle that will utiamtely dictate how well they perform when it comes to the game of basketball. There are so many possessions in the game that if a player gets upset or mad when things are hard, they will struggle no matter what as every new prospect will be a challenge for them. We hope that all players can learn within Team Esface that they need to be able to muscle through those moments and do something positive on the other side. That comes with having high effort and confidence in everything they do on the court. If they prepare the right way and practice their skills daily, that will breed the confidence necessary to get to the other side of “hard”.
We crave to learn and grow. The best way for us to grow is with your valued feedback. Please use the above link anytime to let us know how things are going (positives and negatives) for the TrueLeague. There’s an option to get in contact with an HQ member in the link as well. We look forward to hearing from you!
