Welcome Back Black Club Families!

After a successful six-month Fall/Winter, we’re excited to be back for the Team Esface Black Club Spring/Summer season! With a mix of familiar faces and new, hungry hoopers, we’re looking forward to see our athletes and teams grow throughout the course of the season. This is shaping up to be our most exciting season yet, with our new Adidas partnership as well as multiple at-home resources to sharpen both our on-court and mental skills. Let’s get everyone back up to speed!

Team Esface takeover in Santa Cruz

We had a blast taking the academy to the Santa Cruz Warriors vs. G-League Ignite game last weekend! Santa Cruz took care of business in a 131-107 win over the Ignite in front of a sold-out crowd and heavy Esface contingent. Thank you to everyone who was able to make it and it was great to see the bonding throughout not just individual grades but the entire academy!

Fill out your March Madness Bracket!

It’s that time of year! Join the Team Esface Brackets pool and have your athlete fill out a bracket for a chance to win $100 worth of Esface swag. All brackets need to be filled out before the Round of 64 games that start Thursday at 9:15am. Include your athlete’s name and grade so we can keep track of where everyone stands throughout the tournament. Click the link below to join, be prepared for the madness!

Sign Up for Black Club Vitamins

It was our resolution for 2024 to get more of our athletes training and we want to make sure everyone is aware of our Black Club Vitamins program! While we do our best to squeeze individual skill work into our team practices, we all know the hours outside of practice that are required to become a competitive athlete. To help facilitate extra skill work for our Black Club athletes, we created a Black Club Vitamins program on Fridays from 6-7pm at SportsHouse. (We also have a Thursday session specifically for 6th-8th grade this week from 4-5pm at SportsHouse). These one-hour sessions are offered specifically to our Black Club athletes for $55. We also offer open gym from 7-8pm on Fridays which is FREE for anyone who participates in Black Club Vitamins. For anyone looking to join just for the 7-8pm session, admission is $15. You can register for both using the link below!

Alumni Spotlight: All-League Selections

It was a special week to see so many former Black Club athletes selected as all-league performers this past high school season! We wanted to take a moment to highlight the athletes from the conferences who have announced their all-league teams so far.

WCAL: Serra senior Ryan Pettis (First Team), Serra senior Alex Naber (Second Team), Serra senior Angelo Ghattas (Second Team), Serra junior Mikey Ballout (Second Team), and Serra senior Andrew McDowell (Honorable Mention)

We’re excited to compete in our first tournament of the Spring/Summer season at the Bay City Spring Tip-Off this weekend! Be sure to check TeamSnap for your schedule and please mark your availability on TeamSnap so we know our roster for the weekend. As a reminder, tournament schedules usually don’t come out until Thursday afternoons so please understand we’ll communicate the schedule as soon as we receive it. Let’s see where we stand and where we need to grow!
